Very interesting article. In my world of high-tech sales, we're seeing a major slowdown from banks and financial institutions as they are feeling the pain of the credit crunch more than anyone. Right now, anything that costs more than a few dollars is being put on the back burner unless a short-term ROI can be demonstrated. Open Source certainly provides a viable alternative in these cases, as long as there is a trusted partner to back the solution.
